Hello to all of my faithful blog followers and welcome to anyone new. My foster mom wants you to forgive how long it has taken to update my blog. You see, I have new baby brother! No...mom didn't have puppies, her horse did. For some reason though, she calls the horse puppy a “foal.” “A rose by any other name...” I suppose. I told mom to put up pictures of my new brother though, because she's been really busy with him so he must be important.
What's new with me? Well, I weathered the dreadful storm that ravaged southern Alberta last week. I won't say that it wasn't nerve-racking, but with mom and dad around, I was okay. I sure didn't like it when they left me alone; those winds and thunder can be scary! Still, they were very understanding about my anxiety and by the end of it, I was pretty okay.
I'm having the best summer! My sister, Kipper, is a naughty girl who likes to dig, but she dug a little ditch right under a lovely lilac bush that I've turned into my own little nest.

I love it when mom and dad work from home because I can spend all day in the fresh air napping in the shade.
Mom and dad took me for a bath a few weeks ago. I can't say that I was happy climbing the stairs to the wash bin at the dog wash, but I LOVED getting toweled after they were done. Mom brushed me out afterwards and was so happy to see how fluffy I am. My coat is coming back in nicely and I'm looking so much better than that silly picture of me on the main Misty Creek site. (They should update that. It's a little embarrassing having everyone see me at my worst. I'm so much more handsome and so much happier now.)
Oh yeah! My teeth! The vet said months ago that I'd need a serious cleaning. Well...mom is seriously making those vets look silly. She's been brushing my teeth and giving me some really delicious teeth-brushing cookies and my mouth is a million times better. You can't smell my breath at all unless I'm breathing right on you!
So that's what's new – babies, baths and better breath! What will the next few weeks hold? I don't know. Maybe one of you will want to take me home with you and make me part of your family. I'm enjoying my adventures here, but I'd love to have some special new ones with you. Would you like to make memories with me? Remember, some things get better with age - fine wine, good cheese, Sean Connery and great dogs.
