Hey hope all of you came to visit me at the Adopt-a-thon..........................I was one tired boy after visiting all the wonderful people that attended.I have been bugging mom every day to update you all on what's been going on, but it's been busy here – family visiting, puppy sitting, a million things. Where do I begin? Well, I'll start with puppy sitting. Mom's had a few of my cousins over because August is so great for travel and sometimes my cousins don't travel well. That's okay though. I was happy for the lovely company. Loki was out and she's closer to my age than my foster sister is, so it was nice to have her around. We spent a lot of time in the back yard enjoying the soft grass and the shade. It was really good.

My other cousin, Dexter, is a young puppy – half rottweiler, half lab, all crazy. Kipper likes him better than I do. He's about 75 pounds right now and he runs me over a lot. He's quite lucky that I'm a patient fellow. Were I not, he would be missing a few paws! I just ignore him and go about my business, hunting down the best spots to relax and be a happy guy.
There have been lots of family around; everyone telling mom how delightful I am and how cute I am. I can't help it that these people obviously have great taste. It's been great having so many people to pet me. I really am a glutton for the loving!
There were a lot of storms out here and some of them lasted for several days. It was really scary and it got me so upset that I got sick. Mom figured out though that just having access to the people (and my favorite closet!) made me feel much better. (She's pretty smart for a people.) She said that I should tell people interested in being my forever family that if they're going to be work or don't want me in their bedroom when it's stormy to please let me stay some place where I can feel safe. I don't like being locked up, but I do like smaller spaces that smell like my people.
I've lost all my extra weight that I said I wanted to take off at the beginning of the year and my coat is still coming back nicely. Mom is giving me baths regularly since I'm such a fan of the great outdoors and have been in the yard so much all summer that you would think that I'm an outside dog! I'm not really. Once it's dark and there's a little chill in the air, I'm 100% house dog. I do love being able to lounge on a good cushion, bed or blanket!
Well....it's time to get back out to soaking up the lovely shade and fresh air. Summer is quickly moving away and I want all the time enjoying it that I can get before the snow comes and I can play in that! All this wooly coat is going to be so handy again. Wouldn't you love to play with me in the snow? I'll be happy to be your summer love just as much as your snowy angel.
